My Kid's a Star

My Kid's a Star is an Australian reality/talent show program based on the American series I Know My Kid's a Star. Hosted by Cameron Daddo, it started airing during prime time on the Nine Network from 9 April 2008 in a 60 minute format. Due to low ratings, it later moved to a weekend timeslot, where it aired in a 30 minute format. The show follows 10 child performers and their parents on a six week talent boot camp that will see one of the performers leave with $50,000 and the title of "child star". The young performers will be judged by a three member panel which includes former The Partridge Family actor Danny Bonaduce, who also appeared in the original American version. The show has raised some controversy for focusing on the antics of the stage parents rather than the young performers, and promos of the show prominently featured this aspect of the program. Some of the parents of the contestants have claimed that Nine misled them over the content of the show.

I Know My Kid's a Star is an American competitive reality television TV show starring Danny Bonaduce of the 1970s TV show The Partridge Family as host and primary judge. Casting agent Marki Costello stars as co-host and secondary judge. The show features ten parent/child pairings, with each pair working together as a team to further the child's career. The parents and children live together in one house. Week to week, the teams work on various performance-related challenges. The show consists of eight episodes, with one team sent home at the end of each episode. The team that wins the final competition is awarded $50,000 and a one-year contract for the child with a Hollywood agent. America's Most Talented Kid is an American television series that originally aired on NBC on March 28, 2003. In each round, three age groups of talented children would perform songs, dance numbers, magic, and other forms of entertainment in front of head judge Lance Bass and other guest celebrity judges, such as Sisqo, Maureen McCormick, Jermaine Jackson and Daisy Fuentes. Host Mario Lopez led the highest scorer from each round until only three children were left to compete in the grand finale. In the end, Cheyenne Kimball was crowned the grand champion. The final NBC episode featured senior citizens competing in a special "America's Most Talented Senior". A limited-run series on NBC to compete with the growing talent-show trend in reality television, it would later move to the PAX Network, the title pluralised to "Kids", with Dave Coulier as a host and judged by Daryl Sabara, Scarlett Pomers and Bobb'e J. Thompson. Unlike the NBC version, however, each show would crown a $1,000 winner plus the chance to keep in the finale. The Grand Champion of this season of "America's Most Talented Kids" was then 13-year-old rock violinist/singer/songwriter Antonio Pontarelli.

Kidsongs was created by producer/writer Carol Rosenstein and director Bruce Gowers of Together Again Video Productions, both of whom are music video and television production veterans.
